Harold L Chevalier

Harold “Buck” L. Chevalier, 79, of Jerusalem Township OH, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, December 4, 2015. He was the youngest child born to Harold and Sylvia (Purtee) Chevalier on December 19, 1935. Having three older sisters, he was known as “Sonny” to many. Buck loved the outdoors. He was either hunting or fishing with his buddies whenever he could. That love has passed on to his children, grandchildren, and even his great grandchildren. Buck worked at Toledo Overseas Terminal for 41 years, retiring to spend time with his true love, Phyllis. She preceded him in death in 2003, he truly missed her each and every day. He was also preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lavone, Darlene, and Donna; and great granddaughter, Selena Titta. Harold is survived by his children, Dianne (John Malik) Bernal, Bill (Gail) Chevalier, Sandy (Dan) Knitz, Don (Jody) Chevalier; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his best friend and fishing buddy, Kenny Kekes and Henry (Crystal) Kohler. Visitation will take place on Monday, December 7, 2015 from 2 pm to 8 pm at Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH 43616. Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 11 am at the funeral home. Interment will take place at North Oregon Cemetery.
