Harold D. Carr, 87, of Oregon, OH passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018. at He was born on June 28, 1930 in Toledo, OH to Edna and Harvey Carr. Harold was a consummate collector of potentially useful stuff and the proverbial “Jack of All Trades”. He was a Marine, mechanic, welder, card player and fisherman. He was a car knocker for the B+O Railroad where his brother, father and grandfather also worked. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t build or fix. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Wesley, Russell, Fern “Jane”, and Richard. He is survived by his wife, Eula “June”; daughters, Debra (Jim) Holley, Terri Spiegel; 5 step-children; grandchildren, Erin (Matt) Deiners, Eric Holley; and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation will take place at Hoeflinger-Shank Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests dontations be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
