Harold Brent Biggs, age 79 of Sylvania Township, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania. Born on July 11, 1930 to Harold and Rae Biggs in Toledo, Ohio, Harold was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School, attended the University of Toledo, and was also a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was known as Brent to his close friends. Brent was a licensed realtor and appraiser, licensed in Ohio in 1955 and became an MAI member of the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers in 1963. He worked on many jobs throughout Lucas County including the University of Toledo Bike Path, the Meijer Store locations, and Olander Park in Sylvania Township. Brent became a licensed land and sea pilot under the guidance of Stanley Irons and Winston Smith. He was a member of Barton Smith Lodge F AM. Brent is survived by his wife, Marguerite Biggs. He was preceded in death by his son, Scott Biggs. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd. Perrysburg, OH 43551. There will be no services and interment will be private. Arrangements were made through the Walker Funeral Home, 419.841.2422.
