Harley K. Fahle, 89, of Northwood, formerly of Pemberville and Curtice, died early Thursday morning, February 16, 2012 at the Parkcliffe Community at Northwood, Northwood, Ohio. Harley was born November 19, 1922, in Pemberville, Ohio, to Edward and Edna Rothenbuhler Fahle. He married Anita R. Hutchinson on July 14, 1943, who preceded him in death December 6, 1987. Harley served during WWII in the 8th U.S. Air Force and later transferred to the Army, 81st Chemical Mortar Battalion. He was a past member of the VFW Post #2510 in Toledo. For nine years he worked as a clerk in shipping and receiving for Melocraft and then drove truck for 29 years for the Fuller Brush Company. Harley was a member of the International Order of Foresters, Court Security, Toledo. During his free time Harley enjoyed reading. Harley is survived by his sons, Gerald A. Lori Fahle of Lawton, OK, Robert M. Susan Fahle of Perrysburg, Michael L. Carol Fahle and Alan C. Fahle, both of Toledo, and Phillip S. Gaye Fahle of North Madison, OH, his brother, Raymond Fahle, and second wife, Mildred Fahle. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Anita, daughter, Michelle Lawrence, and brothers, Orville, Lorel, Clarence, Norman and Wayne Fahle. Visitation will be Monday, February 20, 2012, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at Zion Lutheran Church, 26535 Pemberville Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551; interment will be private. Memorial contributions for Harley may be given to the VFW National Home, 3573 S. Waverly Rd., Eaton Rapids, MI 48827.
