Hansen Richard C, Sr.

Richard C. Hansen Sr., 90, of Toledo, passed away on Saturday November 10, 2012 at Heartland of Waterville. He was born on August 30, 1922 in Toledo to Martin Jr. and Magdalena Soennichsen Hansen. Richard was raised by foster parents, Harold and Agnes Stout. He married the former Dorothy Franks on June 21, 1941. Richard was a veteran of the United States Army serving honorably in WW II and employed by several local auto dealerships and the Toledo RV Inc. He was a member of Legion Post 646 in Holland, the Northern Light Lodge #40 of Maumee, were he was a 50+ year member and Past Master. Richard enjoyed fishing, square dancing and camping, He and Dorothy were members of the Rolling Dutchman Camping Club. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Dorothy; daughter, Beverly Ralph Debbe, sons, James Jennifer, and Richard Melinda, grandchildren, David Patti Opperman and Rebecca Opperman, Dawn Rick Folsom Debbe, Nicole Paul Nungester, Jodi Brian Kimball, Jill Rich Synowiec, Jessica Hansen, Sarah Hansen and Jacob Hansen, and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, foster sister, Evelyn Bauman and 9 siblings. Visitation for Richard will be on Friday November 16, 2012 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St. Maumee, Ohio 43537 with a Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be on Saturday November 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
