Hans J Lilie

Hans J. Lilie, 78, of Sandusky, OH, passed away, Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, OH. Hans was born on August 24, 1933 in Landsberg, Germany, the son of Max Julius and Berta Sens Lilie. On October 05, 1957 at Peace Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, OH, he married Gretel Hansen and she survives. Hans was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He worked as a laborer at U. S. Gypsum, for 40 years, until his retirement. Hans was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, OH. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include: Loving Wife of 54 years: Gretel Lilie of Sandusky, OH; Sons: Max Kathy Lilie of Cape Coral, FL and Todd Kelly Lilie of Catawba Island; Brother-in-law: Glenn Tesnow of Willow Beach; 7 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren and one on the way. Hans was preceded in death by his parents and sister: Clara Tesnow. Visitation will be 5-8PM, Friday, December 16, 2011 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00AM, Saturday, December 17, 2011 in the funeral home. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Hans, may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
