“To God we belong and to God we shall return” After a brief battle with cancer, Hamidi Said Boraby, 66 years old, returned to God surrounded by her family at her home on July 04, 2016. Hamidi was born in Sultan Yacoub, Lebanon; in 1971 while attending school in Zahle, Lebanon; studying to become a teacher; she met her future husband Adeb and a year later they were married. Hamidi was a pioneer, one of the first woman from her village to have successfully completed her formal education. She came to this great nation in 1972, together with Aded they built their lives based on mutual love, respect and determination. Hamidi raised her four sons with love and devotion, taught them dignity, honesty, faith and respect. She always said, her proudest and greatest accomplishment in life was raising four great sons. She was a woman in a class of her own, the foundation of her life was based on the love of God and the Holy Quran. She was preceded in death by her parents Said and Mudallaleh; sister Sammia, brother Mohammed. Those who shared a wonderful life with her, will have to continue life never forgetting this wonderful woman is her husband of 44 years, Adeb, her four sons Sami (Lina), Waseem (Jenna), Husam and Kassim. She is also survived by her brothers (Youssef and Saad) and her sister (Khayriyyah, Amnee, Layla) along with many relatives in Toledo, Lebanon and Brazil. Adeb and her four sons, wish to thank her two sisters (Khayriyyah and Amnee) for their daily help in making Hamidi as comfortable as possible as Hamidi’s health deteriorated, they were always here for her, we will never forget your passion and compassion for your sister. We can’t say enough about the help and compassion given to her by her daughter-in-laws (Lina and Jenna). The family also extends their appreciation to Imam Farooq Aboelzaheb and his wife for their visits to our home and to the hospital, for their words of comfort and love. It is difficult to define the beauty of this woman in such a short space, Hamidi brought so much to our lives, your passing has created an eternal void which can never be filled, you were and will always be loved and never will be forgotten.
