Gretel Lilie

Gretel Lilie, 74, of Sandusky, OH, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at her residence. She was born on July 12, 1938 in Niebull, Germany, the daughter of Peter F. and Trinke E. Westensen Hansen. On October 05, 1957, in Port Clinton, OH, she married Hans J. Lilie and he preceded her in death on December 13, 2011. Gretel worked for the Port Clinton City Schools and Standard Products. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, OH. Gretel enjoyed working in the yard, reading, bike riding and walking. She was a devoted wife to her husband Hans. Gretel will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: Sons: Max J. Kathy Lilie and Todd M. Kelly Lilie; Grandchildren: Heidi Cory Musser, Max Lilie, Mindy Brett Powell, Brian Lilie, Justin Lilie, Michelle Lilie and Margaret Tim Bergeman; Great-Grandchildren: Troy, Lilly, Riley, Baylee, Carson, Landon, Gage, Lorin and one the way; Mother: Trinke Hansen; Sisters & Brothers: Marianne Knepper, Trudy Houle, Peter Georgie Hansen, Helga Fred Pluckhorn, Margaret Bob Danklefsen and Fred Karen Hansen; Brother-in-Law: Glen Tesnow. Gretel was preceded in death by her husband: Hans Lilie, father: Peter Hansen and sister-in-law: Klara Tesnow. Visitation will be 7-9PM, Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00AM, Monday, October 01, 2012 in the funeral home. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH.
