Gregory Paul Tanner

Gregory Paul Tanner, also known as “Bubba” and “Mijo”, 29, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023, after a long battle with Muscular Dystrophy. He was born in Oregon, Ohio on December 14, 1993, the son of Antonio Rodrigez and Nicole (Tanner) Netter. Greg graduated with honors from Genoa High School and Penta Career Center with his degree in pre-vet and small animal care.

Greg enjoyed life through watching cooking shows on television and trying different foods. He loved to laugh and crack jokes on his brother, Terrance. Greg’s favorite snack was Flaming Hot Cheetos Puffs, but he never turned down any of the other tasty snacks that came his way!

Greg will be missed by his family for his loving presence and smile along with his sticking out his lips for a kiss. He will be remembered for many things, but mostly as pure-hearted and as a fighter.

He is survived by his mother, Nicole Netter, father, Antonio Rodrigez, brother, Terrance Tanner, grandmother, Linda Tanner, uncle, Paul and Jeannie Tanner, aunt, Vicki Tanner, cousins, Robert, Michael, Nathanial, Ariel, Steven, Savannah, and Aidan. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ken Tanner and Manuel Rodrigez as well as great aunts and uncles.

Greg’s family has scheduled a visitation from 4:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, Ohio. Services will be private.
