Gregory David Sohnly

Gregory David Sohnly, age 58, of Toledo, died March 31, 2017 at his home. He was born April 13, 1958 in Toledo to David and Judith (Norts) Sohnly who lovingly survive. Also surviving are his sisters, Sarah (Michael) Coon and Melissa (Paul) Tyson; nephews and nieces, Quinn, Erin, Keenan, Anthony and Jenna. He was also preceded in death by his special grandmother, Gertrude Norts. Greg was employed with Sunrise Gymnastics in maintenance and had previously worked in management with Precision Pallet for more than 32 years. In his free time he loved to work with his hands creating things. Using his artistic gifts, Greg made custom boxes out of exotic hardwoods, built model ships and airplanes. He also enjoyed fishing, especially in Lake Erie at Catawba Island. Greg was a lover of all animals and animals seemed to have a special affection for him as well. Services will be private. Memorials contributions in Gregs memory may be made to the Toledo Area Humane Society.
