Gregory W. Karshuk, 36, of Oak Harbor, OH passed away unexpectedly Thursday, January 26, 2017. He was born on July 28, 1980 in Sandusky, OH to Daniel E. Karshuk and Leann S. (Darr) Mason. Greg was a big kid at heart and had a love for many people and things. He loved all sports and even wrestled for Clyde High School where he graduated from in 1998. Some of his favorite sports teams include Ohio State, Cleveland Cavilers, Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears. He had a huge collection of baseball cards, baseball hats, and shoes. Greg enjoyed playing online games as well as reading or watching medieval themed books and movies. He also had a love for cooking where he worked as a cook for various restaurants. One of Greg’s favorite places was the beach especially when the waves were breaking; this is where he found calmness and peace. Greg is survived by his father, Daniel Karshuk, mother, Leann (Ted) Mason, children, Danae and Amery Karshuk, sister, Heather (Kevin) Kaltenbach, brother, Teddy (Tori) Mason, sister, Kathy Karshuk, paternal grandmother, Audrey Karshuk, maternal grandmother, Carolyn (David) Baldwin, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bill Karshuk and maternal grandfather, Donald Darr. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 2-8 p.m., with family present from 2-4 6-8 p.m., at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Oak Harbor, OH. A memorial service and celebration of Greg’s life will take place on Friday, February 3, 2017 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Church of Truth Ministries, 3260 E. State Rd. Port Clinton, OH 43452 (The old Gypsum school) with bereavement meal to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations for Greg may be given in care of the family.
