Gregory J. Haynes, age 57, of Perrysburg, died August 31, 2016. Greg was born August 27, 1959 in Toledo to the late James Haynes and Betty Grieger. A 1977 graduate of Whitmer High School, Greg was employed at the Toledo Jeep assembly plant for 30 years, retiring in 2014. He was a member of Local 12 UAW. Greg was passionate about cooking and baking and was known as Mr. Zucchini Man. He loved great foods and going to restaurants to enjoy them. He also liked bowling, golfing, fishing and traveling. Greg was the king of a good deal and was very generous. He would give the shirt off his back and was always there to help a friend. Greg is survived by stepdaughter, Tiffany (Scott) Wyckhouse and family; stepson, Jason (Tara) Webb and family; godson, Parker MacAllister; and lifelong friends, Dave MacAllister and John Fisher. He was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Millie Mitchell; and sister, Cindy Haynes. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.), where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2016. Memorials are suggested to the MS Society.
