Gregory R. Barger

Gregory R. Barger passed away on December 13, 2022. Born to his parents Debra and John Barger on February 28, 1983, he brought love and joy to those closest to him.

Greg graduated from Southview High School in 2001 and achieved the Eagle Scout rank. He attended Hocking College for their Culinary Arts Program. He was a great cook and baker.

Greg loved all things outdoors including camping and gardening. He was a huge fan of the Grateful Dead and Ekoustic Hookah music. He was known for his passion for art, drawing and all things colorful. Animal rescue, dog and horse training and wildlife were especially close to his heart.

Greg and Mary Wesley dated in high school then reconnected two years ago. Greg and Mary had plans to get married and build a farmstead with her son Michael.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, his brother Steven and girlfriend Andre, and Greg’s girlfriend Mary, and her son Michael.

Visitation will be held at Walker Funeral Home on Friday, December 16, 2022, from 11 am- 1 pm. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery will follow.
