Gregorio S Tavarez

Gregorio S. Tavarez of Toledo, OH passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at his home. He was born on May 9, 1935 to Roman and Elvira (Silva) Tavarez in Crystal City, Texas. Gregorio was a member of Good Shepherd Parish and was a true family man. He enjoyed playing the lottery, watching the Mexican Channel in his recliner and listening to music. He treasured the Saturday’s he spent with his grandchildren, loved family cookouts and gatherings, and was a man that could be relied upon by his family. Gregorio was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Gregory S. (Amanda) Tavarez, Annie Marie (Steve) Johnson; grandchildren, Stephanie, Steven, Alex, Sierranina, Gregorio III, Xavier, Nevaeh, Izzabella, Amarissa, Francisca; great grandchildren, Elizah, Ariah, Elayah, Myah; and sister, Avundia Rodriguez; sisters-in-law, Tammy Garner and Theresa Rhobasser and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH on Thursday, January 26, 2017 and Friday, January 27, 2017 from 2-8 P.M. Funeral services will be conducted at 9 AM Saturday, January 28, 2017 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 N. Stadium Road, Oregon, OH. Burial will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery.
