Greetis Wamsley- Lawley, 75, of Port Clinton, OH and formerly of Pell City, AL, passed away, Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor, OH. “Grace was in all her steps, Heaven in her eye, in every gesture; Dignity and Love.” Greetis was born on December 28, 1941, in Point Pleasant, WV, the daughter of Ezra and Thelma Marie (Logan) Wamsley Sr. On February 18, 1961 in Port Clinton, she married Albert Joe Lawley Sr. and he preceded her in death on July 16, 2007, Greetis worked as a care giver. She was a member of Trinity Worship Center in Moody, AL. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Those left to cherish her memory are: Daughters: Patricia Rose (Jeff) and Anita Carter (David); Son: Joe Lawley (Debby); Grandchildren: Courtney Lawley, Alexis Lawley, Cheyanne Carter and Shawnee Carter; Great-Grandson: Nathan Testerman; Sister: Marie Doctor; Brothers: Henry Wamsley (Linda), Danny Wamsley (Deb) and Gary Wamsley (Terry); Sisters-in-Law: Edna Wamsley and Peggy Wamsley and several loving Nieces Nephews. Greetis was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings: Ezra Wamsley Jr., Charlie Wamsley, John Wamsley and Nora Lofton. A Memorial service will be conducted by Pastor Jared Nolen at Erie Shores Assembly of God, 220 Gill Rd., Port Clinton, OH, 43452, Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 2:00PM. Interment will be at a later date in Macedonia Cemetery, Pea Ridge, AL. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association. Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Port Clinton, OH, assisted the family with arrangements.
