Grace Ann Van Drieson, age 68, of Sylvania, Ohio and Leesburg, Florida died peacefully after a brief illness on August 14, 2013 at Regency Hospital in Sylvania. Grace was born November 25, 1944 in Toledo, Ohio to Clarence L. and Ida Hoffman. She was a homemaker and mother with many interests and hobbies, a few of which were playing the piano, fishing, jewelry making. She enjoyed dressing up in clown costumes that she made herself and entertaining school children, nursing home residents, and people of all kinds. She was the best grandma ever! Grace was a dedicated minister of Jehovahs Witnesses. Her dearest wish was that all people would know Gods goodness and live peacefully. Survivors include her loving husband, Larry, with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage on August 3, 2013; brother, Richard Hoffman Evelyn; sister-in-law, Sharon Hoffman; two sons, Fred Van Drieson Dorothy and David Van Drieson Tracy; daughter, Michelle Kearney; grandchildren, Taylor Hines, Makayla Van Drieson, Melissa Van Drieson, and Julia Van Drieson; nieces, Linda, Darlene, and Kathy; and nephew Mark. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence L. and Ida Hoffman, and brother, Bernard Hoffman. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the ICU staff at Flower Hospital and at Regency Hospital for their support during Graces final days. Visitation will be at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. on Tuesday, August, 20, 2013 from 10:00am until the time of service at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Worldwide Work of Jehovahs Witnesses www.jw.org or to the charity of the donors choice.
