Gordon D Wilkerson

Gordon D. Wilkerson age 78 of Perrysburg, OH passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 in his home. Gordon was born in Mansfield, OH on September 27, 1935 to James A. and Lorna M. (Lyon) Wilkerson. He served his country with the National Army reserves for 11 years. Gordon was employed as a tax accountant for Owens Corning for 27 years and H&R Block for 10 years. He was a past member of Calvary Assembly of God, Maumee, First Assembly in Findlay, OH and Bethel Assembly of God, Perrysburg, OH Current membership was at Dayspring Assembly in Bowling Green. Gordon was an active member in his church and served on their boards. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family. Surviving is his loving wife of 53 years, Nancy L. Wilkerson; children, Lisa (Bill) Ancira, Gregg (Judi) Wilkerson, Jeff (Tina) Wilkerson, James (Ramona) Wilkerson, Mary (Dan) Shaffer and Pam Smith; 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jessie Mercer, Elaine Eslinger, Paul (Evia) Wilkerson, Elsie (Dan) Whitmore and Carol (Bob) Starr. Also surviving are a number of children who Gordon and Nancy opened their home to and became a part of the family. In addition to his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by his siblings, Timothy, Mary and John. Family and friends will be received at Calvary Church, 1360 Conant St., Maumee, OH on Friday, September 19, 2012 from 10:00 am until the memorial service begins at 11:00 am.
