Gordon Richard Ley II, 61, passed away at home on April 30, 2010. Rick was born on August 3, 1948, to parents Gordon Richard Ley, MD and Janis Ellen Turney Ley. They preceded him in death as well as his sister, JoEllen Ley. He grew up in Port Clinton and graduated from PCHS in 1966. He attended Muskingum College and graduated in 1970 with a BA in accounting. He was employed in various positions in the restaurant and hospitality industry throughout his career. He returned to Port Clinton in 2001 and found a job, a home, and family at Mon Ami Restaurant, where he worked until his death. He made many friends in his customers and co-workers. He felt very involved with the Mon Ami family and enjoyed every day he worked. He is survived by his Brother: James Earl Ley Pam of Port Clinton, OH and Sister: Kathy Mulvaney Ward of Powell, OH and his 3 Children: Gordon R. Ley III, Katherine Marie Ley and Justin Earl Ley all from Minnesota, nieces and nephews from CA, OH and RI. He will be missed by all. Calling hours will be, Monday, May 10, 2010 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM, in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. A Memorial service will be held at the Chapel on the Lake, Marblehead, OH, on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 11:00AM.
