Glenn Myron Waters

Glenn Myron Waters, age 88, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Waterford at Levis Commons. The son of Clifford and Clara Bigler Waters, born on April 19, 1924 in Massillon, Ohio. He worked as a mechanical engineer for the Abbey Etna Machine Company in Perrysburg, where he worked until the age of 76. Glenn served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Barataria during WWII. He kept in contact with his fellow service buddies, getting together every year. Glenn was a very caring, family oriented person and always kept in touch with family members near and far away. He enjoyed Country and Bluegrass music and also playing the harmonica and guitar. Glenn was a member of the Community of Christ in Whitehouse and a former member of St. Pauls Lutheran in Maumee. Glenn is survived by his wife, Ethel; children, Sally Dennis Whiting, Carol Kirk Randall, Alan Dawn Waters and Nancy Alan Lehman; grandchildren, Don Whiting, Heather Brad Whitehurst, David Corinne Whiting, Daniel fianc Jennifer Whiting, Patrick and Philip Randall and Kevin Waters; great-grandchildren, Christian Powers-Whiting, Johnathan Matthew Whiting, Joshua Leah Whitehurst, Aiden Gavin Whiting; brother, John Barb Waters; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy and Norma and brother, Earl. Friends and family may visit on Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 5 to 8 pm and Friday, January 4, from 2 to 8 pm at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee where funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 5 at 10 am. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Odyssey Hospice and Waterford at Levis Commons.
