Glenn D. Ellis, 52, died Tuesday morning, July 12, 2016, at his home in Oak Harbor. Glenn was born August 8, 1963, in Fremont, Ohio, and on October 3, 1963, was adopted by Frank and Ila J. (Risch) Ellis. He graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1981, where he played in the high school band and then received an associate degree in electrical from Terra Community College. For 30 years he worked at Whirlpool Corp. and then for Wilbert Plastics. Glenn was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Oak Harbor; he enjoyed fishing and hiking, music, and sang and played in a band, and especially enjoyed his five dogs. Surviving Glenn are his parents, Frank and Ila, his son Tyler Ellis, sister, Karen Ellis, fiancée, Angela Renfro, step daughter, Amber Forman and step granddaughter, Gabriella Forman. Visitation will be 12-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m., Friday, July 15, 2016, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor, where the funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 16, 2016. Burial will take place in Salem Township Union Cemetery in Oak Harbor. The family has suggested memorial donations for Glenn to be directed to Great Lakes Caring Hospice, 3425 Executive Pkwy.
