Glen Lehr Jr., age 76, of Monclova, Ohio, passed away on August 29, 2025. Born on February 25, 1949, in Toledo to Glen Sr. and Helen (Oswald) Lehr, Glen was a proud graduate of Clay High School, Class of 1967. Shortly after graduation, he began what would become a remarkable 46-year career at LOF, where he held various roles. On October 7, 1972, Glen married the love of his life, Carol (Matuszewski), at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns.
Glen was lovingly known as “Sparky” to his family. He was an avid reader, always curious and content with a good book in hand. He loved playing cards, especially euchre, and never passed up a game or a good-natured joke. He took great pride in tending to his flowers and found joy in a meal out, no matter the place. A lifelong Duke Basketball fan, Glen never missed a game and was always ready to talk sports. He also was a history buff and knew many facts about every President. Above all, he loved people, talking with them, joking with them, and making them feel welcome.
He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 53 years, Carol; his son, David Lehr; and his brother, William (Carol) Lehr. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen Sr. and Helen; and his sisters, Debrah VanLandingham and Elizabeth Daniels.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 5856 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Glen’s honor may be made to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Parish.
