Gladys G. Lofgren

Gladys G. Lofgren, 96, of Perrysburg, OH died November 24, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born on December 30, 1915 in Perrysburg to William and Margaret (Steinline) Shue and was married on March 20, 1954 to Oscar V. Lofgren. Gladys worked as a cook for the former Don and Sis’s Restaurant in Maumee. Gladys was a lifelong homemaker and loved caring for other people. She was a gardener, and enjoyed all outdoor critters and birds, was an avid crossword puzzle worker, and a reader. She is survived by her son, Mark D. Lofgren and daughter, Christine K. Lofgren both of Perrysburg, stepson, Gene P. (Margie) Wertz, grandchildren, Tim (Tina) Wertz and Kim Wertz (John Cottrell); great-grandchildren, Zach and Kelsey Wertz. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Lester, Robert, and William Shue, and sister, Alice Macut. Friends will be received from 3-8 P.M. Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home 222 E. S. Boundary St., Perrysburg, OH (419-874-3133) where funeral services will be at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 with burial in Fort Meigs Cemetery.
