Gladys V. Farmer

Gladys V. Farmer, 90, of Port Clinton, Ohio died Thursday, December 31, 2015 in the Riverview Healthcare Campus, Oak Harbor, OH, where she had been a resident. Gladys was born to Harry E. and Mildred V. (Williams) Brown on March 9, 1925 in Toledo, Ohio. She married Walter B. Farmer in Angola, IN and he preceded her in death on January 8, 1988. Gladys was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, crocheting and tending to her garden of flowers and vegetables. She was a longtime member of Faith United Methodist Church in Port Clinton. Survivors of Gladys are her children, Dale E. (Tuci) Farmer, Brad B. Farmer, Bill M. (Jane) Farmer, Rita M. (Claude) Dunfee, and Bruce E. (Tammy) Farmer, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Dimus Stephens and brother, Lawrence Brown. Visitation for Gladys will be held in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home 216 Washington St., Port Clinton, OH 43452 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 with a service to follow at 12 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date in the LaCarpe Cemetery.
