GISELA W. KLIPPSTEIN Gisela Klippstein, age 83, of Holland passed away on September 7, 2012 in her home. Gisela was born on June 6, 1929 in Bremerhaven, Germany to Kurt & Helena (Stark) Podiwin. A homemaker all her life, Gisela was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was intelligent, tenacious and full of strong convictions, Gisela will be remembered for her curiosity and her love of her birthplace, which she maintained throughout her life. She encouraged her family not only to appreciate their way of life but to expand their horizons. Her unique sense of humor could bring a smile to those around her. Surviving are her daughters, Karen Klippstein; Wilma (Alan) Kline; grandchildren, Jessica (William) Fletcher; David Kline; and great granddaughter, Jordan Fletcher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Klippstein and brother, Gunter Podiwin. In keeping with Gisela’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Burial will take place at Toledo Memorial Park at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek.
