Ginger Lee Angel

Ginger Lee Angel, 65, of Curtice, Ohio, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023, after a lengthy illness. She was born to George and Doris (Ward) Reuss on October 16, 1957, in Toledo, Ohio and graduated from Lake High School/Penta County. Ginger worked as a nurse’s aide for the Genoa Retirement Village for several years and enjoyed taking care of others.

Ginger met Mark L. Angel at the Lucas County Fair, while she was working the pony rides, and it was love at first sight for them both! They married at Redeemer Lutheran Church, in Toledo, on March 26, 1977, and have spent the last 46 years together, raising their children and enjoying their grandchildren.

Ginger loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She attended their sporting and school events along with sharing their everyday lives. She was always ready to go, be it playing Bingo, shopping, going to the internet café with her friends, fishing, camping, or playing cards and board games, there was always a good time had by all. Ginger was a very crafty person and took pride in her ceramic class, making baby dolls, baby doll clothes and her glass works. At the end of the day she enjoyed sharing a meal of seafood at her favorite restaurant, Mon Ami, in Port Clinton, Ohio.

Ginger is survived by her husband, Mark, son, Jay (Kelly) Angel, daughter, Mindy (Michael) Sass, grandchildren, Hunter, Weston, and Parker Angel, Adrianna, Foster, and Mikey Sass, brothers, Steve (Sue) Reuss and Mike (Diane) Reuss. She was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother Carolyn Reuss.

Visitation for Ginger will be held from 4:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, January 19, 2023, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, OH. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, January 20, 2023, in the funeral home followed by interment in the Allen Township Cemetery, Williston, Ohio.
