Gilbert V. Ramirez

Gilbert V. Ramirez, better known as "Gil", "Diamond Dallas", or "Papa Yogurt", 61, of Genoa, Ohio passed away peacefully at his daughter's home, Wednesday, August 12, 2026. Gil was born in Toledo, Ohio, June 12, 1965. He attended Genoa, Oak Harbor, and Penta County Vocational Schools. Gil worked as a chemist with Martin Marietta in Woodville, Ohio. He loved hitting the road on his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, playing poker, Shorin Ryu Karate. Gil treasured the times sitting in his garage or on his porch, listening to music with his best friend, Jackie. His family and friends will remember him for his laughter, jokes, and being a devoted father and grandfather.

Gil is survived by his children, Anthony Ramirez, Stephanie Ramirez, Leticia (Rudy) Silva, Samantha (Branden Martin) Ramirez, Mariah (Mark) Sirmeyer, and Odilia (Ron Potter) Ramirez; grandchildren, Mckenna, Alivia, Arianna, Elena, Thiago, Owen, Chase, Kyler, Penelope, Xavior, Evan, Emery, Brayden, Myles, Maximus, Malcolm, and Odilia; brothers, Sam, Bongo, and David; along with many loving family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dolorez and Odilia

The family will recieve friends at Robinson Walker Funeral Home, 501 West Street, Genoa, Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 10:00 am until funeral service at 2:00 pm. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice. Gil's family requests in his honor to please wear your favorite Harley Davidson attire and ride your motorcycle to this celebration.
