Gil González-Pérez

Gil Pérez-González, 63, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023 at the Toledo Hospital. He was born on September 1, 1959 in Mexico City, Mexico to Felix and Paz (Gonzalez) Perez. Gil worked as a service tech for Value City Furniture for 30 years. He was a member of Iglesia Pentecostal Unida Hispana in Toledo. Gil was known to be a hard-working, family-oriented man, with a love for God. His wife, children, and grandchildren always came first. He took great pride in his upholstery work. In his free time, he loved to grill and cook for family. Gil enjoyed attending all his family’s sporting events over the years. He had a great sense of humor that will be missed, along with his spiritual talks he had with family. Gil always had helpful solutions to problems, was always encouraging, never judging, and provided unconditional love.

Gil is survived by his loving wife, Araceli Pérez, sons, Victor (Angela) Pérez, Isaac (Melissa) Pérez, Gil (Melissa) Pérez, and Moises (Marisela) Pérez, grandchildren, Delfino, Alejandro, Mia, Vivia, Valencia, Araceli, Cruz, Esperanza, Adrian, Gil, Xiomara, and one baby Pérez on the way, and sisters, Virginia Pérez de Arellano and Antonia Pérez. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Alfredo Peréz-González, Antonio Pérez-González, Felix Pérez-González, and Maria Pérez de Bravo.

Visitation for Gil will be from 12:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 20, 2023 at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo, OH. Memorial contributions in memory of Gil may be given in care of the family. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com.
