Gertrude Clara Kosch

Gertrude Clara Kosch, 87, of Maumee, OH passed away Friday, June 5, 2009 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 5, 1921 in Swanton, OH to Frank and Mary Nowak Sominski. Gertrude was employed by the former Foodtown Grocery Store as a Cook. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee and member of the Maumee Eagles, Elks, American Legion Post and Moose Lodge. Gertrude is the widow of Russell Kosch who passed away February 2, 2009; and is survived by her son, James Suzan Kosch; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Florence Sowers and Martha Przybylski; and brothers, John, Bernard Shirley, Richard and Tom Toni Sominski. In addition to her parents and husband, Gertrude was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jenifer Kosch. Family and friends may visit Sunday from 4-8 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee. Funeral services will begin Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Maumee. Interment will follow in St. Richard Swanton Cemetery.
