Gerry Conard Daup

Gerry L. Conard Daup, 83, of Apache Junction, AZ passed away Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Banner University Medical Center, Phoenix, AZ. She was born on May 4, 1941 in Fulton, NY to Albert E. and Anna M. (Bishop) Dean. She was widowed from former husbands, Col. Frederick W. Conard in 1983 and Garold F. Daup in 2018. Gerry previously worked as a manager in the club house at Camp Perry, Port Clinton, OH and also in building 1 there as a secretary. She also previously worked for the Nestle’s Candy Company in NY for 13 years, retiring in 2001. Gerry was a longtime member of LaPointe United Methodist Church, Port Clinton, OH. She was a member of the Erie Township Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Mother’s Club of Erie Township, Riverview Healthcare Campus Auxiliary, and a TOPS Member. Gerry enjoyed golfing, bowling, shuffleboard, playing trivia games, going out to eat, visiting Amish country, and going to casinos and playing the Mermaid slots. She loved her Countryside Trailer Park family, the opportunity to enjoy some good wine and cheese, listening to Willie Nelson, and traveling, especially getting to travel the world and visit many countries with her husband, Garold.

Gerry is survived by her daughter, Ann Sanford, step-son, Teddy (Lindsay) Starr, daughter-in-law, Shawn Conard, grandchildren, Vanna (Chad) Ellis, Christina Conard, Jason (Santos) Conard, Bethannie Sanford, and Brett (Leah) Reyes, great grandchildren, Dawn Ellis, Tyler Ellis, Teo Reyes, Tate Reyes, and DaVante, step-sons, Dennis Daup & family, Robert (Kayleen) Daup & family, and William (Ann) Conard & family, and nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, daughter, Dawn L. Starr, sons, Daniel Starr and Dennis Conard, sister, Elnora Halenar, and brothers, Earl and Edward Dean.

Graveside services for Gerry will be conducted 11:30 a.m., Friday, August 23, 2024 at LaCarpe Cemetery, LaCarne, OH. A Celebration of LIfe for Gerry will follow at Erie Township Fire Hall, LaCarne, OH.  Memorial contributions in memory of Gerry can be given to LaPointe United Methodist Church, Port Clinton, OH.
