Gerri A Neiling

Gerri A. Neiling, 73, of Perrysburg, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Gerri was born on November 16th, 1948, in Seguin, Texas to Valentine Friesenhahn and Julia Sczech. She married Karl J. Neiling on August 23rd, 1969, and they shared 52 years together. Gerri was an artist and enjoyed painting leaves and nature scenes. She was a devout Catholic and enjoyed attending daily mass, bible studies, and praying the rosary. She was a member of St. John XXIII and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Gerri will be remembered for being a great listener and for her sweet disposition. She always made everyone feel special, especially on their birthday. She is survived by her husband, Karl; children, Jennifer Dykes, Brent (Shannon) Neiling, Britni (Peter) Theofilos, and Ryan (Kelly) Neiling; grandchildren, Emily, Adam, John, Conner, Hannah, Carter, Eloise, and Parker. She was preceded in death by her parents. Friends and family will be received Thursday, December 30th, 2021, from 4-7 p.m. at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133), where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday, December 31st, 2021, at St. John XXIII, 24250 Dixie Highway, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551, from 10-11 a.m. with a funeral mass beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Rose Cemetery.
