Gerogia J Meyers

Georgia J. Meyers, age 57, of Maumee, OH passed away Friday, May 30, 2008 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, with her husband Larry at her side. She was born September 16, 1950 in McKeesport, PA to George and Mildred Kovac. Georgia graduated from Keystone Oaks High School in 1968, received her B.S. in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1972 and received her M.B.A. from the University of Toledo in 1976. She was employed as an Analyst with Aeroquip-Vickers Corporation for 22 years and for the past 10 years, she was employed by Mercy Health Partners as a Senior Analyst. Prior to her illness, Georgia was active in community organizations that mentored young women. She also raised awareness and did fund raising for ovarian cancer. Georgia enjoyed golfing, reading and crocheting. A loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many, Georgia will be missed by all who knew her. Georgia is survived by her loving husband, Larry Meyers; mother, Mildred Kovac; sister, Deborah Rick Rump and dear nieces, Lara and Allyson. She was preceded in death by her father, George Kovac. Family and friends may visit Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
