Geraldine Ann "Gerry" (Goetz) Wolf, 87, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, following a brief battle with health issues. She was born on May 21, 1939, in Elliston, Ohio, to the late Edith (Schimming) Goetz.
On December 6, 1958, Gerry married the love of her life, Robert G. Wolf, who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband, Robert, Gerry was preceded in death by her mother, Edith.
Gerry spent many years as a beautician, proudly owning and operating Gerry's Beauty Salon. She also found great joy in serving lunches to students in the school cafeteria, where her warm smile and caring nature touched many lives.
One of Gerry's greatest accomplishments was being a breast cancer survivor for more than 25 years, a testament to her strength, resilience, and determination.
Gerry found happiness in crocheting, tending to her beautiful flowers, and meeting family and friends for coffee or lunch. She had a vibrant personality and an even bigger heart. She never met a stranger and had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome. Whether someone was a lifelong friend or a new acquaintance, Gerry made sure they received a hug before saying goodbye.
Family was the center of Gerry's life. She cherished every opportunity to have everyone together and was known for saying, "The more the merrier," as she welcomed family and friends into her home. Her family will forever treasure the memories they shared with her and will especially miss her famous vegetable soup and homemade monkey bread.
A favorite pastime for Gerry was watching the Cleveland Guardians and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Gerry is survived by her children, James (Becky) Wolf, Susan (Jim) Dages, Sandra (Michael) O'Donnell, Barbara (Daniel) Bacak, Cheryl Wolf, and Teresa Wolf; her sister and lifelong friend, Lavonne Goetz; and her many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom will miss her dearly.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 122 W. Ottawa St., Oak Harbor. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Salem Township Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
