Geraldine Bunte

Geraldine Bunte, 102, of Perrysburg, passed away March 3, 2023 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. Geraldine was born June 16, 1920 in Oak Harbor, Ohio to William A. and Mary A. (Heider) Pfeiffer. She married Roger Bunte on August 21, 1941 and they shared 63 years together until he passed on December 5, 2004.

Geraldine was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg. She enjoyed her flower gardens, playing bridge, fishing and spending time at her cottage in Sand Beach, Oak Harbor.

She is survived by her children, Bruce Bunte and Jerilyn (David) Podany; grandchildren, Rodger (Britten) Bunte, J.R. (Elizabeth) Podany and Joshua Podany; daughter-in-law, Eleanor “Hap” Bunte and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great- grandchildren. Along with her husband Roger, she was preceded in death by her parents, son, Norman Bunte, granddaughter, Nannette Scott, daughter-in-law, Eva Bunte, brother, Earl Pfeiffer and sister, Mary Jane Mercer.

Friends and family will be received Friday, March 10, 2023 from 10-11 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 E. Front Street, Perrysburg, OH with a memorial mass beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will be private. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home (419-893-7686).
