Geraldine M Anderson

Geraldine Marie Anderson, 84, of Swanton, OH, formerly of Maumee, OH, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Swanton Valley Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

Born May 4, 1941, in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of James A. and Florence A. (Mexicott) Anderson. Affectionately known as “Gerry” and “Ger-Bear,” she was a warm and social soul who truly loved everyone she met. A natural conversationalist, Gerry was known as a social butterfly who found joy in connecting with others.

She especially enjoyed playing Bingo and was known for her good luck — often walking away with a pocketful of quarters. Gerry also had a love for jewelry, particularly rings and necklaces, and adored both stuffed animals and real ones. No matter the day, she could always be found enjoying a good cup of coffee.

Gerry is survived by her sister, Marie Michalak; nieces, Kelly Fitzgerald, Kristie (Jason) Guilford, Pamela (Eric Stewart) Michalak, and Kimberly (Bryan) Gloeckl; and great-nieces and nephews, Jacob, Ryan, and Nicholas Guilford, Tyler and Megan Barton, and Jackson Gloeckl. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as several beloved aunts and uncles.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum, 5725 Hill Ave., Toledo, OH.

Memorial contributions in Gerry’s memory may be made to Swanton Valley Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center or Ohio Living Hospice.
