Gerald L. Velliquette, II, 57, of Port Clinton, OH passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the Toledo Hospital. He was born on September 1, 1960 in Fremont, OH to Gerald L. and Marlene A. (Williams) Velliquette. Gerry graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1979, where he went to State in wrestling and still holds several records at the school. He was known as the Aardvark. His nieces and nephews also knew him as Santa because he went all out for them at Christmas time. Gerry previously worked as a chef for Phils Inn in Port Clinton for many years. He also loved to fish. Gerry is survived by his wife, Tina Velliquette, children, Mallory Velliquette and Cory Velliquette, siblings, Donna (Rick) Key, Brian (Amy) Velliquette, and Mara (Barry) Witt, and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services for Gerry will conducted by Reverend David Voll 1:00 p.m., Sunday, August 12, 2018 at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Oak Harbor. Memorial contributions in memory of Gerry can be made to the funeral home towards funeral expenses. Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor is assisting the family with arrangements.
