Gerald F. Stahley, age 82, of Toledo, died December 22, 2017 at The Toledo Hospital. He was born March 29, 1935 in Renovo, Pa. to the late James and Mabel (Stechinfinger) Stahley. Jerry graduated from Renovo High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Army, eventually relocating to Ohio where he built his own house from the ground up. Jerry worked for many years in the floor covering business, most recently as the manager of Pro Source in Toledo until his retirement. Jerry was an athlete in his younger years and a lifelong sports fan; he especially loved watching college football and basketball and had a true passion for playing tennis. He also enjoyed reading, keeping up on current events, and closely following politics. Jerry will be remembered for his young spirit, strong will, terrific sense of humor, and straightforward approach to life. Surviving are his loving wife of 37 years, Diane (Morin) Stahley; daughters, Carol (Henry) Brisker, Paula (Brian) Sears and Michelle (Joshua) Stein; four grandchildren with one on the way; two great grandchildren; and brother, Gary (June) Stahley. Jerry was preceded in death by brothers, James, Marvin, Kenneth and Robert. Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jerrys memory may be made to the ACLU or ASPCA.
