Gerald A. Slomsky

Gerald A. Slomsky, 89, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at The Willows of Bellevue, Bellevue, OH. Gerald was born on February 18, 1927 in Canton, OH, the son of John A. and Christine (Mistead) Slomsky. On April 10, 1947 in Sandusky, OH, he married Eileen Kaman and she preceded him in death on January 2, 2000. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. Gerald worked as a machine operator for Ford Motor Co. in Sandusky, OH, until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, OH. Gerald enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and traveling in his motor home. But he especially loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Those left to cherish his memory are: Sons: John Slomsky of Sandusky; Jeff (Sharon) Slomsky of Bellevue, Steven (Lisa) Slomsky of Smithville, Missouri and Scott Slomsky of Mason, OH; 6 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, wife and infant brother. A Graveside Service will be conducted by Reverend Ralph Schibler at 10:00AM, Tuesday, May 31, 2016, in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial donations in memory of Gerald may be given to the American Cancer Society, 740 Commerce Dr., Suite B, Perrysburg, OH 43551.
