Gerald D. Shiffert

Gerald Daniel Shiffert, 63, of Oak Harbor, OH passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022, at St. Charles Mercy Hospital, Oregon, OH. He was born on December 14, 1958, in Oregon, OH to Elery and Jeannette (Orner) Shiffert. Gerald graduated from Woodmore High School and Penta County Vocational School. He worked as a mechanic for Graymont for 35 years and later United States Gypsum Co. in Genoa, OH. He was an extremely hard worker and worked on the farm as well.

Gerald is survived by his daughters, Christina Huff, and Becky Shiffert, grandchildren, MacKenzie Lojewski, Katelyn Lojewski, and Destinee Paul, siblings, John (Patricia) Shiffert, Shirley (Michael) VanBrunt, Ronald Shiffert, and Cheryl Rocha Shiffert, nephews, Dominick Petucci and Lucas Shiffert, and niece, Donna Swartz. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Donald Shiffert and half-sister, Jackie Slaton.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 10, 2022, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, OH with visitation one hour prior from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa.
