Gerald Sherman

Gerald P. Sherman, age 67, of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2007 in Summerville. He was born on March 20, 1940 in Philadelphia, PA to Robert and Dorothy Linder Sherman. He received his undergraduate degree from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science and received his PHD in Pharmacology at Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science as well. He did his post doctorate work in Pittsburgh. He taught Pharmacology at the University of Kentucky for ten years and taught twenty-five years at the University of Toledo where he retired in early 2007. Jerry enjoyed bicycling, the outdoors, the beach and spending time with his grandchildren.He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; sons, Brad and Rod; granddaughter, Elise; grandson, Troy; sister, Marcia Godick; and nephews Gene and Marc Godick.Visitation will be at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., west of Corey Rd. on Wednesday from 11 am to 1 pm when services will begin at the funeral home at 1 pm Wednesday. Interment will be at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be given to charity of the donor
