Gerald J. Popeye Kazmier

Gerald J. Kazmier, age 85, of Monclova Twp., passed away on December 20, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Jerry was born May 6, 1932 to the late Joseph and Mary Kujawa Kazmierczak. He was a graduate of Libbey High School and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Jerry retired from the Ford Motor Company where he worked as a millwright. After retirement, he worked at Enterprise Car Rental. Jerry enjoyed playing on numerous softball teams, golf leagues, and bowling teams and also enjoyed beach vacations. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Zenobia Sue daughter, Kim Marie Toth; son, Gary (Deborah) Kazmier; grandsons, Matthew (Amanda) and Steven Toth, great-grandchildren, Savannah and Lucas Toth; brother, Thomas Kazmierczak; sisters, Alice Kelly and Christine Murphy; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Melvin, Edward, and David; and sister, Bernadine Lawecki. Visitation will be at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 2-8:00pm with a Scripture Service at 7 PM. Visitation will continue Wednesday, December 27th at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, 719 Evesham Ave. Toledo, OH from 9:00am until the time of the Mass at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
