Gerald (Jerry) E. Bohner, 84, of Rossford, passed away at 12:48pm on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at home. He was born on June 18, 1938, in Defiance, OH to the late Melvin and Thelma Bohner. On February 27, 1960, he married Sharon Bielski, she survives in Rossford. They had 62 years together.
Jerry is survived by two children: Kenneth (Susan) Bohner of Oakwood, OH and Keri Clawson of Freeland, MI; five grandchildren: Ben Bohner, Andy (Valerie) Bohner, Brent (MacKenzie) Bohner, Jacob Clawson, Kaci Clawson; four great-grandchildren: RaeLynn Bohner, Lauren Bohner, Levi Bohner, Rhett Bohner; two sisters: Sandra Drittler and Mary (Greg) Knox; three sister-in-laws: Martha Bielski, Cheryl Grimes, Marlene Nagel; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by son-in-law: Paul Clawson; three siblings: Tom Bohner, Eddie Jo Bohner, Peggy Bohner; two brother-in-laws: Ronald Bielski, Kenneth Drittler.
Jerry was a graduate of Perrysburg High School. He joined the Marine Corp 1956 and served four years. He worked as tool and dye maker for SK Tool & Die, Defiance and Progressive Industries, Oregon. He retired from Progressive Industries, Oregon in 2014. Jerry loved golfing, bowling and vacationing in Mexico. He was a member of Defiance VFW and Rossford Eagles.
Mass of the Angel’s will begin at 12:00pm on Friday, Oct 28, 2022, at All Saints Catholic Church, 628 Lime City Road, Rossford. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:00am to 12:00 pm, directly before the Mass. Burial will follow at Fort Meigs Cemetery.
