Georgia Rose Power

February 3, 1944 — February 4, 2022

Georgia Rose Power, 78, of Toledo passed away Friday, February 4, 2022 at Bay Park Community Hospital, Oregon, OH.  She was born on February 3, 1944 in Little Rock, Arkansas to George and Esther (Purtee) Rosenbrook.  On December 7, 1973 in Toledo, OH she married Robert J. Power, Sr. and he survives.  Georgia and Bob raised nine children together and helped looked after a large family of grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Georgia had an unconditional love for her family, her country, and the flag.  She always showed compassion, was caring, and offered forgiveness.  She had a knack for sensing when someone was in distress and sought to help them.  Georgia took the time to handwrite very personal letters weekly to those she felt needed it to lift them up.  She had a very distinctive sweet smell from her perfume, that you could always tell when she was near.  Georgia will always be remembered as a very loving and generous person.  She was very faithful and read her Bible first thing in the morning every day.  She also adored her parents and her siblings.  Georgia enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking, making candies and wedding cakes, and just was an overall awesome cook.  She also carried a great love for animals and enjoyed caring for them, including her 3 dogs, Dusty, Maggie, and Casey.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her loving husband of over 48 years, Bob, she is survived by her children, Susan Schutt, Joseph Clark, Lisa (Ken) McKenzie, Julia Peil, Rae (Wayne) Rhoden, Charlotte (Louis) Samson, Jonnie (Jack) Wine, Charles (Kimberly) Clark, and Robert “Bobby” Power, Jr., 24 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, sister, Karen (Pat) Phillips, brothers, Paul (Lynn) Rosenbrook and Michael (Judy) Rosenbrook, and her very special aunt, Barbara Jude.  She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter-in-law, Roberta Clark, cousin, Ronnie Jude, and aunt, Rosemarie Berkel.
