George D. Stavroulakis, age 84, of Toledo, passed away October 22, 2015 at Arbors of Sylvania. He was born Nov. 12, 1930 in Athens, Greece to the late Eftihios and Maria Stavroulakis. George married Eva Goudas on April 16, 1960 and they came to New York City under the sponsorship of Omega Watches. They moved to Toledo in 1971, when George went to work for Max Davis Jewelers. He opened his own business, Georges Watch Repair, in Toledo which he operated for more than 10 years. George was a member of AHEPA and Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, formerly serving on the Board of Directors. In his free time, he enjoyed cooking, listening to Greek music and spending half of each year in Greece. George will be remembered for his strong will, as a great conversationalist and for his passion for world history. He found his greatest joy in the love of his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years, Eva; daughters, Maria Levine and Angeliki (Mark) Little; grandchildren, Eva Maria Little and Nicholas George Levine; and two sisters in Greece. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) concluded with Trisagion prayers at 4:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 26, 2015 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 802 N. Superior St., Toledo. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to the church.
