George Emery Schneider

George Emery Schneider sadly passed away on June 7, 2024, at the age of 79 in Genoa, OH.   Born on August 19, 1944, in Norfolk, Virginia to Donald W. Schneider and Pauline "Polly" (Brown) Schneider.  Those left behind to cherish his memory include his children, Randy (Vickie) Schneider, Renee Schneider, Nikki (Matt) Miesle, grandchildren, Tim (Kasey), Alexis (Rick), Mallory (Jere), Taylor, Logan (Mackinzie), Ashley (John), Sydney, Joshua, Emily, Christian, Hayden, Paige and great-grandchildren, Klair, Kloie, Sebastian, Hunter, Ryder, Laken, Oaklynne, Roselynne, Waylon, Raquelle, and many other family members and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Jacob Hazel.

Growing up, George was a boy scout, which isn't surprising, because he was such a kind & generous man to everyone. He graduated from Lake High School in 1962 where he excelled in football & track. He spent 20+ years as a Carpenter Millwright for Local 1393, and later he would buy & sell real estate.

George was a devoted Father and Grandfather. He enjoyed coaching his daughter's softball team & he tried to see every sporting/activity event his kids or grandkids participated in. He loved animals, especially his cats. He was a plantsman, gardener, coin & stamp collector, and he enjoyed traveling as well.  He spent a lot of time at his family home on Anna Marie Island, Fl, where he enjoyed fishing with friend Kenny Hill & cousin Tom. His favorite pastime was spending quality time with his family and friends. We will miss you Grandpa!

A committal service will be held at Clay Township Cemetery on Saturday November 23, 2024, at 12:00 pm.
