George Louis Sabback

George Louis Sabback, age 73, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo, Ohio. Born November 11, 1950, George graduated from Central Catholic High School and spent most of his life in the Toledo area. He loved fishing and was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was a simple man who dedicated his entire life to his family. Family was everything to George and George was everything to his family. A devoted husband of Kathleen (Antoszewski); loving father to daughters Kayleen, Dana, Demetra and Marissa; cherished father-in-law to Derek Smith, Jen Jeffery, and Danielle Stead; and proud “Papa” to Brandon Myers; Braeden, Ava and Ella Smith; Lily and Hank Veronica; and Avery Sabback, George will be missed but never forgotten.

George is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, sister (Phyllis Craver) and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave., Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 2-7 pm. The Funeral Services for George will be Monday, September 16, 2024 beginning at 10 am at the funeral home and continuing with the Funeral Mass in Our Lady, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral, 2535 Collingwood Blvd, at 11 am. George will be laid to rest in Toledo Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
