George Louis Quisno

George Louis Quisno died at Stein Hospice Care Center on Friday, August 26, 2011 of complications of Parkinsons Disease. George is greeted in Heaven by his first wife Alice Oswald Quisno, parents Ralph and Grace Bolack Quisno, sisters Lois Jean Quisno Schramm, and Rose Victoria Quisno. George was born December 17, 1927 in Port Clinton. He attended Immaculate Conception School, Port Clinton High School and graduated with the class of 1945. He attended Baldwin-Wallace College, served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Macon during World War II, and graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a major in Microbiology. Georges lifes work was his involvement with the Hill Top Laboratories and Hill Top Research in Cincinnati where he served as president. He was also vice president and analytical director for Bowser Morner Testing Laboratories in Dayton. He worked for several years at the Lakeside campground as a campground supervisor. He enjoyed time fishing on his boat the Merry Q II, hunting for geese and ducks and traveling. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Mary, sons George Mary Quisno II, Ralph Mary Ellen Quisno, Bruce Gail Quisno, Keith Quisno fiance Marcella Costa, stepson Steve Leicht, stepdaughters Kathy Gary Leist, & Beth Shane Craddock. Grandchildren Alice Quisno, Ben Megan Quisno, Malia Brad Evans, Jenna Michael Whisman, Andrew Kristin Quisno, Lauren Quisno, Christina Quisno, Jordan Quisno, Jerry Craddock, Gary Leist III, Macey Craddock, Laney Craddock, Grayson Leist, & Zoey Craddock. Great Granddaughters Lauren Quisno, Brielle Quisno and Madison Whisman. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. John Misler at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 2, 2011 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton where friends may call from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to the services. Private burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Montgomery, Ohio.
