This decision to move to the United States would give his sons a much better life.

A natural leader, George had an illustrious career in international shipping and logistics, working for Thomas Cook, IPC, Aramco, Beirut Express, and eventually retiring at Danzas after a 50-year career. Thanks to his profession, George was exceptionally well-traveled – and, he made it a point to visit his mother and family in the Middle East often.

Besides his love for charitable work, George was an avid gardener – growing all sorts of vegetables in his backyard for his wife to incorporate into their delicious traditional Arabic meals.
Upon his return to Ohio in 2017, George enjoyed frequent visits from his sons and family. He spent his final years in the excellent care of the wonderful staff of the Waterford at Levis Commons in Perrysburg, along with his patient and loving caregiver Ana Carroll.
