George William Krueger III, 72, of Monclova, Ohio passed away with his family by his side on Saturday, July 6, 2013, at his residence. He was born on July 24, 1940, in Toledo, Ohio to George and Dorothy Suter Krueger, Jr. George served in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1964. Upon returning to Toledo after his time in the Air Force, George worked for 3 years at Prestolite in Toledo. For the next 35 years, he worked as a draftsman in the engineering division at Champion Spark Plug. After retiring, he attended dog grooming school and started his own business, Georges Dog Grooming. He always said he had the best customers in the world. George loved to fly and one of his proudest accomplishments was getting his private pilots license. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing and NASCAR racing. Most of all, George loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and he never missed a sporting event. George is survived by his wife, Virginia Ginny sons, Matthew Jen Homier, Michael Homier, and Brian Kathy Krueger; grandchildren, Devon, Cade, Danica, and Elise Homier; sisters, Josephine Brown and Louise Richard Ansara; and brother, Clark Bobbi Krueger. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kermit Krueger; and sister, Naomi Porthouse. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 from 2:00-8:30 p.m. at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio 43537. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Community of Christ Lutheran Church, 6517 Finzel Road, Whitehouse, Ohio 43571. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Waterville. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the Toledo Area Humane Society.
