George Curly Juby, 87, of Port Clinton, OH passed away Saturday morning March 15, 2008 at H.B. Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton. He was born February 2, 1921 in Lakeside, OH the son of the late John and Anna Butchko Juby. George owned and operated City Bakery in Port Clinton from 1960 until his retirement in 1992. Earlier in life George worked for Curtis-Wright Aircraft Co. in Buffulo, NY. There he worked on B-17s and other aircraft during W.W. II. George had boxing experience and had also worked as a bouncer. His favorite quote was A good bouncer never has to throw a punch. He loved sports and was an avid fan of the Indians, Browns, O.S.U., Danbury graduate 1940, and Port Clinton High Schools. He played the violin and at one time had his own band. George will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include sons Michael and Joseph Juby both of Port Clinton; daughter Sally Sharp of Cincinnati, OH; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Gladys Roth in 1996, and 10 brothers and sisters. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. followed by services at 1:30 P.M at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home 216 Washington St., Port Clinton. Pastor Carolyn Joseph will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Port Clinton E.M.S., or Riverview Nursing Home
