Genevieve V Spitler

GENEVIEVE V. SPITLER Genevieve V. Spitler 91 of Walbridge died July 17, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born on January 9, 1923 to Frank (Stella Cichanski) Maros. She was employed for 28 years with Foodtown in the Meat Dept. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Walker and later by her second husband Russell Spitler, Son: Michael Walker, Step-Son James Spitler, and Sister: Stella Bassler. Surviving are her children Kathy Hartranft, Patricia Belegrin, Elaine (Andrew ) Aranyosi, Arthur (Barbara) Spitler, Brother: Henry (Elaine) Maros, 19 Grandchildren, 22 Great-Grandchildren, and 5 Great Great Grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews. Genevieve was past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of The Northwood VFW, and a member of the Retirees Local 75, United Food and Commercial Workers, Rossford Eagles, and Moms of Foreign War, and the East Toledo Family Center. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2-9 PM in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home 701 N. Main St. Walbridge (419-666-3121) where the Northwood VFW Post 2984 Ladies Auxiliary will conduct services at 7 PM.Tuesday. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 10 A.M.in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
